Continue reading »]]> When I watch any Chuck Lorre Production, I notice this big screen full of text (and sometimes pictures) at the end of every show. If you are nosy like me, you probably have wondered what these damn paragraphs are about. Well, I have your answer! These are called vanity cards. Basically, after every episode, Chuck Lorre writes these vanity cards and shows them for a split second at the end of every single show he makes. Most of the stories are vary random and it makes you wonder if he’s on drugs or something.

The Lyrid Meteor will be occurring April 16 through April 26. The peak will be on April 22. The best time to see the meteor shower on the 22nd is at around 10pm because that’s about three hours before the moon rises. The meteors will be coming from the northeast sky near the constellation Lyra.

This shower isn’t the best but at times, on good nights it can shoot about 100 meteors an hour, but it’s average is about 10 to 20 per hour. The best thing about this shower is that the trains on these meteors tend to be really good. Will this be a good shower? We’ll know when it happens!

Continue reading »]]> I have been a big fan of Orbital Sciences for about 10 or so years, however, their ability to gain public interests sucks. Their site doesn’t say much or anything, they don’t have videos of launches, heck, they don’t even have announcements. I emailed them about possibly getting launch coverage on the internet, and this is what I received back:

“Launches broadcasted over the internet are only done on case by case basis.

It’s a real bummer, even their emails are boring. They don’t even have the name of the public relations representative that sent the email to me. Just to think that this company wants to beat companies such as SpaceX for hauling cargo, and possibly humans to the International Space Station is just funny to think about. I think their broadcasts will be much more boring than NASA and that’s if they even broadcast them at all.

Orbital, if you’re wondering why you’re not doing so well, it’s because you’re not putting out any effort in gaining public interest. The public is turning it’s eyes away from you because you fail to even acknowledge the public.

Soyuz TMA-21 Launch

The Soyuz TMA-21 launched today carrying the crew of Expedition 27. Docking is supposed to occur on Wednesday.
